11:25 Play will be resuming shortly. Ganesh Asirvatham (MYS) and Nigel Richards (NZL) took a five-minute break, the position of the taped-down racks was adjusted for symmetry, Barry Harridge came in to substitute for Nakul Prabhu, and the players traded places so that the annotators could view racks more easily (Nigel is left-handed, Ganesh is right-handed.)

Ganesh starts this round. Nigel wins again, this time 400-371, and leads the best-of-five series 2-0 going into the lunch break. Ganesh took an early lead with AEEHRST but had to exchange tiles twice, and although he caught up again with the late-game bingo DDEILP?, and Nigel only bingoed once with ADENOO?, Nigel won on the strength of the value he got out of the J, Q and X with JERBIL, QUOHOG and FAX.
