Nigel Richards (NZL) beat Andrew Fisher (AUS) last round 530-382 and remains on Board 1 to face 12th-ranked Howard Warner (NZL). The top twelve are still being paired together without repeats. Ganesh Asirvatham (MYS) beat David Webb (Eng) 582-341 last round and stays at Board 2 to play 9th-ranked Suanne Ong (MYS). Wellington Jighere (NGA) beat Charnwit Sukhumrattanaporn (THA) 430-354 last round and also remains at Board 3, playing 11th-ranked David Eldar (Wysc) this round. Richards is alone at 16-3, Asirvatham at 15-4. Jighere, Hubert Wee (SGP) and Tim Adamson (USA) are still two games off the lead at 14-5; Joel Wapnick (CAN) is the only one at 13-6. The first result this round is that Odette Carmina Rio (PHL) beat Adam Logan (Wsc) 475-357, eliminating the defending champion from contention. Time for lunch. |
