Nigel Richards (NZL) beat Tim Adamson (USA) 546-414 last round, his seventh consecutive win. He stays at Board 1.

Ganesh Asirvatham (MYS) beat John O'Laughlin (USA) 497-372 last round, his ninth consecutive win. Since there are now only five players in contention for the finals, and they cannot be paired without repeats, Asirvatham moves to Board 1 to challenge Richards.

Wellington Jighere (NGA), who beat Odette Carmina Rio (PHL) 382-337 last round, plays Hubert Wee (SGP) at Board 2.

Joel Wapnick (CAN), the remaining contender, plays Charnwit Sukhumrattanaporn (THA) at Board 3.

Geoff Thevenot (USA) played AEMNRT? double-double through WO against Jim Kramer (USA).

Sam Kantimathi (USA) triple-tripled ACIOSTU through a P in the fifth position against Andrew Fisher (AUS).

Edward Okulicz (AUS) beat Jason Katz-Brown (USA) 520-504, see photo. Edward bingoed DEFHIINS, ABDEMRU through a T (drawing a challenge), CEIRTT? from a U, and EEIOPPR to an S. Jason bingoed AADINOT through an N, EELLNOS from a C, GEORSTU to an E, and ABEGLT?.
